Horror is different from most other places on the Internet for two reasons:

1: The subject matter, which is pretty much wide open.

2: We expect people to behave themselves on the list.

Our philosophy is that “discussion” does not include “Me, too!” posts and does include civility between members.

The following is what we expect from every member:

• No more than four messages a day; this is automatically enforced by Listserv©.
  
• Include Horror in Film and Literature content in each post. Stay on topic!
  
• Limit quoting in your replies. Delete unneeded text, please.
  
• Give spoiler warnings. We take this VERY SERIOUSLY.
  
• Do not post fiction to the list. Instead, please ask the other members to send an e-mail request to you off list.
  
• Advertisements are forbidden. This includes URLs posted with no discussion or explanation.

There are no exceptions to these rules, and no excuses.

A listmember’s failure to comply with these rules or whose etiquette is deemed unsavory by the DDM may have their posts, comments, or account suspended or deleted.
